Supps Is Life launched the new BCAA supplement from Titan Arena, Titan BCAA this week. We are not immune to regular new comings in the bodybuilding supplement industry- wether it be pre workout, protein powder or BCAA supps. Today we take a look and review the Titan BCAA, so you can make an informed choice when choosing your BCAA supplements.
Whats In It?
So lets get down to the most important factor- whats in it.
Titan BCAA has what it calls it's Amino Blend- 11g of amino acids to which contains 7g of BCAA in a 2-1-1 ratio broken down into 3.5g of Leucine, 1.75g Valine and 1.5g of Iso- Leucine. This blend is enhanced by 1.9g of L-Glutamine for added recovery. The remaining 1.1g of amino acids are made up of nutrient delivery ingredients to ensure you have optimal uptake.
A 7g dose of BCAA in any product is an extremely generous dosage as most BCAA on the market for this price point and serving size usually offer 5g. Add the Glutamine at a touch under 2g and you have an amazing BCAA product, that will ensure you can work harder for longer as your body enters the recovery stage per sets.
The remaining 2g or 15% of the product are made up of artificials including sweetness and flavourings. Again at this price point it delivers an amazing profile as anything over 70-75% of active ingredients is considered as a pass mark.
Value for Money
Value for money is what sets this Titan BCAA supplement from the rest. The average price point for a basic 5g BCAA product will set you back $45-50, if not more pending your supplier. Titan BCAA comes in at a low price point of $44.95 for 30 serves. Considering each serve is packing 7g of BCAA and 1.9g of glutamine, the price of $1.50 per serve is extremely generous, keeping in mind it is a 30 serve tub. With an average gym goer working out 5 times a week and the need for the use of a single scoop for maximum results, one could expect a lifespan of 6 weeks per tub of Titan BCAA.
Flavours and Taste
Titan's BCAA supplement comes in 3 flavours. The chosen three are Watermelon, Pineapple Strawberry and the Supps Is Life crew favourite Mango. All the flavours are true to their names and the taste is both refreshing and subtle. Where Titan done really well with their BCAA is not making the flavours to sweet or overwhelming and 1 scoop works in perfectly well with a 600-700ml bottle or Supps Is Life Maker Shaker.
Titan BCAA are quite thick in texture mainly due to the generous serving size and they do require more shaking and mixing than a standard BCAA product- this isn't a negative of the product but more a thumbs up to the quality of the BCAA's used in this formula.
Packaging and Aesthetics
Titan BCAA is very bold in its packaging. The BCAA packaging is very blunt in its message and branding. Although the packaging is very basic the most important information is bold and easy to understand. I think the highlight for me is in the nutritional label where Titan haven't skipped any macronutrient caloric values and are very transparent about the protein in their product. A massive thumbs up to the team at Titan.
Titan BCAA's have everything the consumer can ask for - great value, quality ingredients and a no BS label. Titan BCAA taste amazing and at a price point of $1.50 per serve and a 6 week life span ( 5 workouts a week) there is very little to match the Titan BCAA on the market in terms of value and quality at that value. Highly recommended product that can appeal to not only beginners but also the hardcore gym goer.
